The Royal Collection - A Talk with Keith Waye

  • Posted On: 13 September 2021

The Royal Collection is one of the largest and most important art collections in the world, and one of the last great European royal collections to remain intact.

Comprising almost all aspects of the fine and decorative arts and running to more than a million objects, the Collection is a unique and valuable record of the personal tastes of kings and queens over the past 500 years.

The Collection is housed in 15 royal residences and former residences across the UK, including Windsor Castle, Buckingham Palace, Hampton Court, and the Tower of London, where works of art can be seen by the public in the historic settings for which they were originally commissioned or acquired.

We’re lucky enough to be hosting an exciting talk about the Collection on 16th October at Richmond Town Hall. Join Keith Waye, retired Royal Collection Trust Tour Guide, as he shared his vast knowledge and personal experience of this extraordinary collection and some of the amazing objects within it.

The talk will begin at 7pm, and there will be refreshments and a raffle. Tickets cost £5.00 per person and are available to purchase from Richmond, Catterick and Colburn libraries.

For further details please contact the libraries on 01609 534580 or email info@craccl.org.
