Volunteer
Our libraries rely on the hard work of our volunteers. Our volunteers help people to get the most out of their local libraries; ensuring we can open to the community and deliver our broad range of services.
Volunteer at CRACCL – it’s good for your community, and for you.
Volunteering in a library is a rewarding and sociable way to be involved in your local community. Our volunteers of all ages, abilities and experience can gain valuable work experience and learn new skills, with young people in particular able to add volunteering to their CV.
As a volunteer at CRACCL, you can:
● Learn new skills and be trained by experienced staff
● Meet people as you’ll join a busy team and interact with those who use the library
● Help keep your library open, for yourself and your neighbours
● Boost your wellbeing
● Provide a valuable and much-appreciated service
● Keep the heart of the community beating strongly
Volunteers can contribute to libraries in many different ways and you can give as much or as
little time as you’re able. Please note, you must be at least 16 years of age.
We have several volunteering opportunities; it is worth speaking to your local library to decide what would fit you best.
